winter weather and class stratification

out of the blue and into the black...

one more round of intense cold winter for the month of March, holding true to it's tag line of roaring in like a lion.

I appreciate the manner in which winter compels one to stay inside and write, but it does wear thin on the survival mode, with yet another round of survival stress to course through the veins.

It is increasingly my conclusion that winter is waged like a class weapon of war. If you can afford the built environment, to adequate clothing, shelter from the extreme elements--then lucky you. If not, well, then... good luck.

This is one of the many dark sides of poverty in the northern hemisphere, and the driving urgency of the affordable housing issue. For a first world civilized nation, the US seems to be pretty barbaric.

May these last few weeks of winter be kind.
