On the nigh of the day in recognition of women's human rights, I appreciate the timing this day has come forth in my life. It is a day of reckoning, of realizing the true nature of the barriers to equality and liberation. I find this chapter in my life to be a continuation of many chapters, the common thread throughout of my own deep reflection and interpretation of living and oppression. It is as if I must fight my way through a jungle of seemingly no end.
