Blue Oyster Mushrooms

 

Sautéing the first batch of mushrooms. 

I started growing my own gourmet mushrooms to see if it is something I would like to do. First as a culinary hobby and source of food, but potentially also as a small business.

So I sautéed some of the first batch tonight, in olive oil. I added a little bit of salt and pepper on the plate and realized I really like mushrooms as a food group.

Perhaps tomorrow I will add them to an omelet.

This first yield was 18 ounces from the mushroom kit I purchased from a local cultivator. 

We shall see what the next yield brings.

Probably in a couple weeks, I reckon.
