today and the next day or two will be warm as if it is still summer. these are some of my favorite days of the entire year.
even the bees are on the balcony. seventies and sunny.
and a butterfly just flew by.
it is difficult not to feel blessed in these moments.
shortly I will walk to work and appreciate that while I may not make very much money, I seem to be happy doing the work and I can walk there... this carries a lot of weight, so to speak. although I do try to pack light.
the brothers who own the business have a father who owns the Indian/Pakistani market next door down. which he tells me has 7,000 different items available for sale. it is in the space where the old north district library used to be. I am glad it is still there and I plan to buy some red lentils and ghee soon to make dal. I discovered I already have brown lentils (not split though) and split peas, and rice. I think it is instinctive for me to make dal, now I only need to practice and perfect a recipe (or two or three).
also, clover honey for tomorrow's tea brew at the Conscious Café is packed and ready to go, another unexpected kiss from the universe.
