I finally picked up my copy of The View From Flyover Country: Dispatches from the Forgotten America by Sarah Kendzior. The author is a journalist and academic who studies authoritarian states and predicted Trump's rise to power. She has been an incredible interpreter of political events these past few years.

This woman is quite diligent in her astute observations of how America is swiftly becoming a dictatorship. I highly recommend you pick up a copy of her book. When you do, make the purchase through a local and/or independent bookseller, if you wouldn't mind. Upon reading, you will feel a sense of validation that you probably have not felt in years, if ever. It is like water for parched earth.

This American reality television show is getting weirder, my friends, and the fourth wall is a shifting interpretation. Let us listen to the folks who shine a light on truth and productive lines of query. Sarah Kendzior is a true American hero doing exactly that.
