June in the Ypsi Arbor Grove

I keep hearing about all these interesting happenings going on in this Ypsi Arbor grove of ours... a Conscious Café, a 4th of July parade and voter drive for the Ann Arbor commons, summer festivals, Thursday night music socials, on and on...

I happened upon another piano yesterday that will hopefully be in my daily life by summer's end. The seasonal  piano days are soon to come to Ypsi once again... piano days, you say? Well, that would be when interesting folks place pianos in interesting places along the sidewalk, available for anyone to play streetside.

I'm not sure it gets better than that for me. I think pianos are really my first love, and the urban street rhythm is a strong contender. Street festivals are like Michigan's summer love theme song. AND the summer festival at the Top of the Park on Ingalls Mall will feature one of our local beloved singer-songwriters, performing on Tuesday.

(...which reminds me of a song I titled past next Tuesday, perhaps quite timely, given the summit with North Korea happening early next week.)

Let's enjoy this summer festival in June, shall we?

Bring the kids :-)
