I keep meaning to put my kayak in the water but I still haven't done so. It's one of those folding ones so it takes a few minutes to set it up. Hopefully I'll put in soon.
I've also managed to bike to work a few days in the past few weeks, and one of the unexpected delightful surprises was a view of these steps across the river. I've lived here for many years, but I am not sure I have ever had an occasion to appreciate these steps from this perspective. I really love how it sets a stage for something magical and lovely.

After so many times around the sun, I still search for what is magical and lovely. It is what makes life bearable amidst ruins.
