...when I should be writing instead

I sometimes find myself involved in projects that distract me from what would be more self-serving, such as writing. While looking for paid work I recently found myself donating alot of time and service to someone else's project, much to my chagrin. If I'm going to do unpaid work, for goodness sake let it be my own. 

I think what I'm really craving is a good collaboration, but it needs to be on equal ground and mutually beneficial. 

Perhaps like songwriting. 

Nonetheless, I should be writing.
