Blues and tomahawks

Caught the set at the café tonight, a bluesy outfit that made me wistful for the days when I first moved to town and would go out to the blues jam sessions at the Tap Room. I could feel the music rumble my heart chakra, the bluesy guitar riffs diving into my vocal range and reminding me of how much I love making stuff up on the fly just so I can feel the power of my voice in song...

love love love that feeling.

upon returning home, I saw the news of the 50 tomahawks launched at Syria.

I see someone say on the tweeting sea, it seems Russia was notified first, so no worries about WWIII just yet - so get out of the bomb shelter.

I think about how I'm glad I filled my water containers, and wonder how many cans of tuna fish are in the cabinet, and how after so many years of poverty and hardship, I am so weary of survivalism.

yet.

it's time again to think of such things, and to remember what is good and beautiful in the world, and to keep a vision of returning the world to peace and justice.

we will need to steer hard.

love and courage.
